Who We Are
My name is Mallory Langston, and my story is simple: I want to help my community. I am a believer in paying it forward and being selfless. It's amazing how much better it feels to give than to get. I want to help those who truly need it.
I was once sick with a serious disease, and I never thought about the mind-body link—how my thoughts directly affect my health. I went about my day in this fog of negative thinking. I never thought that it would affect my body, but it did in many different ways: depression, anxiety so bad some days that I could not look at someone without having these hard blinks, almost like a nervous tic. I had no confidence at all; I was a wreck.
After getting through my disease, I had a new lease on life. I decided I needed to make big changes. I meditated more than ever, found self-love, and incorporated thought-replacement mantras. I read Kamal Ravikant's book 'Love Yourself Like Your Life Depends On It,' and this was the beginning of great things to happen.
After moving deeper into my mind, body, and soul exploration, I started to attend sound baths. I immediately became obsessed. After my first sound bath, I went home and ordered myself coarse crystal sound bowls. I played just for my family for a year before I decided to perform for groups of people. I am now a certified sound healer though an accredited CMA organization. I love playing; I love how it makes people feel; I love everything about it. Now I perform with an array of instruments; it's truly a beautiful experience.
